Tamil movies bagged the prestigious National awards

The 59th National Awards have been announced in New Delhi. Tamil movies Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai, Vaagai Sooda Vaa, Aaranya Kaandam have won the National awards. These prestigious awards are announced in New Delhi today.

Aaranya Kaandam is a Tamil action Movie directed and written by Thiagarajan Kumararaja, which was released in the previous year. The stars Jackie Shroff, Ravi Krishna, Sampath Raj, Yasmin Ponnappa and Somasundaram acted in this film. This Movie got two awards, the Best Editor Award for Praveen K. L. and N. B. Srikanth as both of them jointly did the editing and Thiagarajan Kumararaja director of this movie, got the Indira Gandhi Best Debutant Award.

Vaagai Sooda Vaa is a Tamil romantic comedy drama movie directed by A. Sarkunam, starred Vimal, Iniya, Bhagyaraj and Ponvannan. This movie got the award for Best Feature film in Tamil. Red Building Where The Sun Sets by Revathy won the Best Non Feature Film Award.

Azhagarsamiyin Kuthirai is a Tamil Mystery-drama movie directed by Suseenthiran and released in the previous year. Appukutty and Saranya Mohan starred in the lead roles. This movie got the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment Award.
