Karthika has been signed for Sundar C’s upcoming Tamil movie pairing up with Vishal. The film makers preferred Hansika first to do this role, but because of Vishal’s height they fixed Karthika as the right choice for him.
Sundar C is currently busy in directing 'Kalakalappu' which was renamed after 'Masala Café' starring Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Oviya and Anjali. The shooting is almost completed then the director will start filming this untitled Vishal starrer movie. It is reported that it will be a full length comedy film.
Karthika made her debut in Telugu movie with Naga Chaitanya. ‘Ko’ is the debut Tamil film of Karthika directed by K. V. Anand pairing with Jiva which is a blockbuster movie. After Ko she was busy in Malayalam movie Makaramanju. Now it’s a comeback for her in Tamil film industry, since she is having three Kollywood films in her hand. Bharathiraja's Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum with Lakshman and she is playing the female lead role in the remake of Sattam oru Iruttarai.
Karthika is also busy in Telugu and Malayalam industry too. She is doing the Telugu film named Dammu starring with Junior NTR, Abhinaya, Venu Thottempudi, Bhanupriya, Nassar, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Subhalekha Sudhakar. Also she has been signed in a Malayalam movie Gold which is in the pre- production stage.
Vishal is currently donning Samaran, which is an action film directed by Thiru starring with Thrisha, Sunaina, Manoj Bajpai and J. D. Chakravarthy. Samara will hit the screens in the month of May. After Samaran he will be ready for the Sundar C’ movie.
